Thursday, 21 February 2008: Ryanair will be shutting down its online booking system for three days starting Friday as it works on an overhaul of its booking system.
The carrier would not reveal the reason behind the booking engine shutdown, but many aviation analysts have concluded that it is due to new pricing regulations in Britain.
Britains Office of Fair Trading last week handed down a ruling which specifies that headline fares on the Ryanair site would have to indicate the tickets full price, including taxes and surcharges.
Ryanair flights will still run as scheduled, but passengers wont be able to change their details.
Flight bookings will be unavailable from 2200 hrs on 22nd Feb to 2300 on the 25th Feb, said the Irish carrier.
