Virgin America and Sabre Travel Network have signed a multi-year distribution agreement that will allow the airline’s fares and inventory to be made available to all Sabre Connected travel agents worldwide. Hugh Jones, COO, Sabre Travel Network said the company will “help Virgin America reach customers through every channel of travel marketing, sales and distribution.” Brian Clark, VP - Planning and Sales, Virgin America said, “This important distribution channel will allow us to more efficiently and broadly distribute fares for our San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC and Las Vegas routes.” San Francisco-based Virgin America is being tagged as a next generation low-fare carrier, with a host of innovative guest features and services aimed at bringing a little fun back to flying -- including mood-lit cabins; one of the most advanced in-flight entertainment system in the skies with on-demand movies and TV, games, music and online chat rooms; custom-designed leather seats; and a First Class cabin with massage chairs and 55 inches of seat pitch.
