Tuesday, 8 January 2008: Real Estate company, Amplio, and Hilton Hotels Corporation have entered into a Management Agreement to open a Hilton Garden Inn in eastern Turkey in 2009 as part of their non-restricted Strategic Development Alliance (SDA).
Located in Turkeys Diyarbakir, the Hilton Garden Inn will have around 150 rooms and will be located near a big shopping mall as well as the airport.
The SDA will see 15 Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn hotels opening in key locations across Turkey.
Hiltons Garden Inn chain has rapidly expanded across Europe, with three planned locations in Italy as well as others in Poland, Germany and Russia over the next two years.
We have identified Turkey as a key development market where we believe there exists significant growth opportunities for the hotel sector across the country for our Family of Hotels, said the President of Hilton Hotels in Europe, Wolfgang Neumann.
